National Rural Livelihood Program In India

The development objective of the National Rural Livelihood Program is to assist the rural poor in increasing their household incomes through improved livelihood systems and improved access to services.The project comprises the following components,Institution Building and Implementation Systems Development,Knowledge Management and Capacity Building, Partnership Development, Livelihoods Investment Support. The World Bank estimates the total project cost at US$ 3,500 million.The appraisal authorization is scheduled on 18 January 2011. The project is expected to go to the Board for approval on 24 March 2011.
