In 2020-21, NABARD formed 6.8 lakh Self Help Groups (SHGs). It sanctioned Rs. 418.20 crore and released Rs. 170.2 crore for promoting 8.7 lakh SHGs. It facilitated bank credit for around 4 lakh SHGs. Further, it promoted 634 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in 2020-21.
Delhi CM inaugurates country’s first-ever smog tower, costing Rs. 20 crore, in Connaught place area in New Delhi. It can improve the air quality in a radius of around 1 km by purifying 1000 cubic metres of air per second. If found effective, more such towers would be constructed around Delhi.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Centre signed a $500 million loan to construct two new metro lines of 56 km in length to expand the Bengaluru metro.
