In the Food Processing Week, the Centre inaugurates 21 food processing projects worth Rs 416.59 crore. It would provide direct and indirect employment to 7,500 people and benefit 32,000 farmers. The government also provided seed capital of Rs. 13.41 crore to 4,709 SHG members.

In Bihar, farmers blocked roads due to fertilizer shortages. They claim the local agencies did it to create an artificial spike in prices. The government is conducting raids at fertilizer shops that were charging higher.
