The Jammu and Kashmir UT has decided to introduce District Good Governance Index (DGGI) to assess the status of governance.
Centre’s working on a scheme to digitise 97,961 primary agriculture cooperative societies (PACS); agri cooperative credit societies that provide short and medium term loans to rural people. The scheme will aim to provide seamless connectivity between Panchayat level PACS to headquarters level.
The Textile Ministry has issued a notification for setting up of 7 PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (MITRA) Parks. The scheme aims to develop the complete textile value chain at a single place to cut logistics costs. The total outlay for the parks will be Rs. 4445 crore in 5 years.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, has announced the setting up of 35 multi-modal logistics parks (MMLP) in Bharatmala Project, of which 4 will be in Maharashtra (Jalna, Nasik, Solapur and Sangli).
In Andhra Pradesh, government will build 28 lakh houses using the Indo-Swiss energy efficient building technology. 13,000 engineers of village and secretariat staff will be trained for the project.
