Niti Aayog released the inaugural Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Urban Index and Dashboard 2021-22. Shimla, Coimbatore and Chandigarh topped the index. Dhanbad, Meerut and Itanagar were the worst performers.

FM Nirmala Sitharaman handed over loan sanction letters worth Rs. 306 crore to 145 beneficiaries of various credit-linked Central schemes in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. She launched schemes including Tejasvini scheme of J & K bank, which provides financial assistance of upto Rs. 5 lakh to girls between 18-35 wanting to start a business.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Lower Dibang Valley district, organised a 3-day modern methods of freshwater aquaculture training program in KVK, Balek, Arunachal Pradesh. This training is part of efforts to empower the tribal farmers through scientific fish farming practices. About 50 tribal farmers participated in the training.

Due to the Central Government’s aspirational district programme and microfinance loans, access to credit in India’s 112 least-developed districts has grown. The microfinance loans outstanding grew from Rs. 11,175 crore in January 2018 to Rs. 28737 crore now. 

Kerala CM started the Digital Health Mission Programme of State in 50 Government Hospitals under eHealth Project. The future plan is to ensure all Government Hospitals are covered and networked under the eHealth project with a queue management system.
