India has the most inequality in the world. It has rising poverty and affluent elite, with top 10% earning 57% of India’s total national income and the top 1% earning 22% of India’s total national income. But the bottom 50%’s share fell down to 13%: World Inequality Report 2022.
To promote affordable housing for urban poor in Tamil Nadu, India and Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $150 million loan agreement.
Agriculture Minister stated that the government has approved 8488 projects with a loan amount of Rs. 6098 crore under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF). So far, it has disbursed Rs. 2071 crore for 4003 projects.
