Karnataka launched Gram One Programme in 3206 Gram Panchayats across 12 districts yesterday. The programme will bring government services to the doors of people at grassroot level.

Union Petroleum Ministry has allocated 3540 KL of non-subsidised PDS kerosene to Karnataka in addition to 7080 KL already allocated to the state. Move comes after fishermen from Karnataka complained of insufficient kerosene for their boats.
Andhra Pradesh launches YSR EBC Nestham scheme. It will provide financial assistance of Rs. 45,000 per annum to women of Economically Backward Classes (EBC) amongst open category (OC).
