HP became India’s first smoke free state, in terms of smoke due to cooking methods. It has 1.36 lakh free domestic connections under Ujjwala (costing Rs. 21.81 crore). Also, 3.32 lakh housewives got free gas cylinders (costing Rs. 120 crore) under Grihini Suvidha Yojana.
Indira Rasoi Grant increased by the Rajasthan Government, from Rs. 12 to Rs. 17, allowing the cooks to provide food to the poor despite inflation in food cost.
In view of the increase in online schooling due to pandemic, Uttarakhand has decided to provide mobile tablets to school students. 2.65 lakh students (Class 10th and 12th) from State run schools and from Degree colleges, will get benefit.
Jammu and Kashmir started the Skill Hub Initiative (a part of PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0). Under it, selected schools will act as skill hubs with trainers giving NSDC certified skill courses to dropouts and out of school youth and children.
In 2021-22 Rabi season, area sown under Mustard Seed and Rapeseed, rose by 22.46% to 88.54 lakh hectare. But the area covered under wheat was slightly lower at 325.88 lakh hectares, as compared to 329.11 lakh hectare in previous year.
