Team Akshara Livelihoods imparted training on SHG capacity building under the Family Strengthening Program of SOS Children’s Village on 20 February 2022 at Proddutur Village, Shankarpally Mandal, Telangana.
In such training sessions, we facilitate training on Saptasutra i.e.: 1. Meetings 2. Savings 3. Internal lending 4. Repayment 5. Bookkeeping 6. Solidarity 7. Collective enterprises.
Along with Saptasutra, we also discuss norms and SHG leadership. The training is conducted through the participatory training method— the term refers to the fact that both the trainer and participants participate actively in the learning process. We facilitate training through various methods such as stories, games, role-plays, case study telling, small group discussions et al.
