MGNREGS has developed a GIS-based Groundwater Intervention Management Plan (GWIMP) for 84 blocks in Madhya Pradesh. This plan means to deal with depleting groundwater resources using a scientific approach and is the first such initiative by MGNREGS.
NCPCR chairperson Priyank Kanoongo says that 20000 street children in India have been identified and are being rehabilitated. He praised Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal for having done a good job in rehabilitating children.
