Livelihoods Update: 16 January 2023

The Jammu & Kashmir Government approved Rs. 91 crore project, to boost and energise silk industry, silk production and farmers’ employment and livelihoods, using technology.

The Central Government is said to be planning to give Rs. 2000 crore to States, to scrap condemned Government vehicles and vehicles older than 15 years, via Budget 2023.

FCI bought 17.59 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Fortified Rice, in the Kharif Monsoon Season, in 2021-22, in Andhra Pradesh, to cover demand of various States, and various Government schemes.

Entirety of India to be covered by Doppler Weather Radar Network by 2025, to accurately predict extreme weather events: Union Minister of State for Earth Sciences.

The G20 Infrastructure Working Group’s first meeting started in Pune, to discuss the 2023 Infrastructure Agenda.
