The Central Government launched ‘e-Upaja Kisaan Nidhi’ to provide farmers access to pledge finance against harvested products.

 

India’s rank improved to 113th of 190 countries covered, in terms of gap between legal rights to men and women: Women, Business and Law Index.

 

94% of the 7.4 lakh Indians evicted from homes in the last 2 years, were primarily due to encroachment removal, beautification projects and infrastructure projects: ‘Forced Eviction in India- 2022 and 2023’ Report.

 

India ranks 2nd in the world for checklist submissions (61,000+) and 3rd for species submissions (1,036) in the Global Great Backyard Bird Count 2024.

 

The World Bank approved the ‘Assam Resilient Rural Bridges Program’ of 452 million$, to enhance connectivity for 1.8 million people in the rural areas of Assam, especially during extreme weather situations.
