Rising antimicrobial resistance is a serious threat to fulfilment of the SDG target by 2030, it will cause 10 million annual deaths by 2050: Lancet Journal study.

 

The heat wave in Rajasthan for the past 10 days has claimed 9 lives so far; temperatures reached 49 degrees Celsius.

 

The severe cyclone ‘Remal’, will cross over into West Bengal coast, on 26th May 2024, at midnight, with wind speeds of 110-120 kmph and gusts of up to 130 kmph.

 

India’s overall unemployment rate was 6.7% in Jan-Mar 2024, Kerala had the highest unemployment in the age group of 15-29 years, Delhi the lowest.

 

The Monsoon will reach Karnataka by the first week of June, and will enter Bengaluru by 13th – 14th June: India Meteorological Department.
