Out of the 828 million adults living with Diabetes type 1 or 2 in the world, 25% (212 million) are in India; further, 133 million adult diabetics in India are living without treatment: Study.

 

Kerala tops India in terms of highest household debt and has lowest savings with only 35% of households having savings in Banks, Post Offices, SHGs and Chits, whereas Uttarakhand has the highest savings at 93%, followed by UP at 84%,: Study.

 

India’s workforce will grow from 423.73 million in 2023 to 457.62 million by 2028, a net increase of 33.89 million workers: Study.

 

Tamil Nadu has launched a scheme to support final year students of SC and ST communities, with vouchers of Rs. 12,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 25,000 to join skill training programmes.

Government health spending in low and lower middle income countries, including India, is steadily falling, which has put SDG at risk: Study.
