Thiruvananthapuram won the UN-Shanghai Global Award for sustainable development, becoming the first Indian city to do so.

 

Subsidised wheat seeds will be given to small and marginal farmers of Punjab, for maximum 1 acres now, as compared to 5 acres earlier.

 

The Asian Development Bank has signed a 200 million$ loan agreement with the Central Government to upgrade water supply and other services in Uttarakhand.

 

Schools affiliated with CBSE, will start new skill development programmes under the Sankalp Programme, for students of Class 6 to 8th, to give them industry relevant skills, from 2025-26.

 

25% of the world’s urban population (i.e. 2 billion people) will face 0.5° of temperature rise by 2040: Study.
