How long do we expect young/new entrants into a mission to last? 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. Do we need experience already, or do we hire new? Immersion, induction, internship, fellowship, and specific task/assignment over 3 years. Can they go? Is it good for them to go to the broader, real world? And local community young women and men taking charge – volunteer, cutting-edge cadre, senior cadre, and professional in the mission, over 5 years, 7 years, 10 years. Over time, some stay on to join management, leader positions. Maybe 5%, 10%. The ones who left, at least half of them, add to the PVM, livelihoods domain in their own ways. 10% of ‘000s of young professional HR, and ‘0000s of community HR are already the leaders in their own right.
