Young India Integrated Residential Schools, Gurukulams, being launched in Telangana. 55 with Rs.11000 Crore. Proposal is to go for 119 schools. Each on 20-25 acres. Modern infrastructure, Playgrounds, 5000+ book library, digital libraries, laboratories, and smart board class rooms, along with accommodation for teachers included. 2560 students – 320 per class, may be in 8 sections; and 120 teachers per school. Class 5 to Class 12. Sarvail Gurukulam is the first residential school in the country set up by the Government (23 November 1971), at the instance of PV Narasimha Rao. Then, 8 Gurukulams have been established per district. For boys and girls separately. Navodaya schools in the country are also modelled after these. Young India schools have also taken inspiration from these.
These initial school locations include: Andole, Nalgonda, Nakrekal, Nagarjunasagar, Chandrayan Gutta, Narayanpet, Manthani, Munugode, Shadnagar, Achampet, Asifabad, Chennur, Mancherial, Chevella, Vikarabad, Tandur, Gadwal, Medchal, Parkal, Kothagudem et al. These 55 are expected to be operational in the next academic year.

Dream, Vision. We dream 2 hours a day, mostly during REM – rapid-eye movement stage of sleep. In this stage, brain activity is very high, almost like being awake. Dreaming can also take place in non-REM sleep, to an extent. Each dream may last 5-20 minutes. Most dreams we may not remember. Only the dreamer’s account of the dream is available to us. Visions could be seen in/as a dream, trance, ecstasy, revelation, and intuition – intellectual intuition(s) with deep impressions; imagined futures perceived; manifestations felt. Most dreams are unclear but Vision is a clear dream. Can we dream without sleeping? Can we vision forward? Can we sleep over the vision to fine-tune it? Can we work further on it? To appreciate current reality, the internal-external ladders that take us to the vision of the future, the internal-external snakes that come in the way, and therefore to develop the action plan with timelines, costs, and support for realizing the vision(s). Can we listen more to ourselves and our teams? Can we be thankful, grateful? Can we lead towards these?
