Trump declares Joe Biden’s last-minute presidential pardons “null and void”, saying the signatures are made using autopen, and Biden may not know anything about them. For decades, US Presidents used autopen to sign. Is Trump right in saying so? Will he go all the way to issue a new presidential order to that effect? What will be the way forward? Will the courts take a call on this?
The Supreme Court holds that ‘right to development’ is a fundamental right.
Start-ups come because of brilliant ideas, passionate founders and early good-great results. Yet, within 3 years, 80% are shut down. Maybe, passion alone is not enough. We need to make money, surpluses; be consistent; adhere to values; and focus on customers, in addition to funds. We do not wait till we get a product/model that meets the needs of the customer really and fully; we are in a hurry to scale, although we are not ready. May be no takers, buyers of our product, model in the current form. Maybe, no teams with agency; no preparation, and delegation ‘fully’; we continue to micromanage till we get exhausted, and lost. Can we be in the winning 20%? Can we help in increasing this %?
We may collect data to the T reasonably accurately. We may analyze this data. Can we prioritize? Simplify? Can we articulate simply, directly? Engaging. Truthfully? Then can we act on these priorities, and help the ‘leaders’ act on these priorities?
Harvard Business Review study says women occupy only 10% CEO positions in Fortune 500 companies. Stanford study says – women receive vague feedback. Is society taking time to be ready to take women in leadership, despite them being more suited? Are the men blocking women? Is it also true for the members of various PVM – poor vulnerable and marginalized – communities?
36% of HR are experiencing mental health challenges; 75% report workplace toxicity. This reduces productivity. This reduces good sleep.
Are we sleeping well, soundly, and adequately? Are we getting sufficient or enough rest? A survey says: 59% Indians get less than 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep daily. This shorter sleep is not sound either. We sleep on hard surfaces, cots, on the floor. Is it OK for us to get good sleep? Or, is the mattress an important reason why we do not get good sleep? Spring mattresses fare badly. Memory foam, latex foam or feather mattresses are better. Hybrid mattresses score well. Being together for couples scores well. A quality mattress alleviates pressure points, ensures spinal alignment, maintains body temperature – leading to better sleep, pain-free refreshed waking up. If we sleep sideways, we should go for soft mattresses, otherwise medium mattresses. Only stomach sleepers may prefer firm mattresses. Aged mattresses have to be replaced. Can we get suitable mattresses or acquire suitable ‘surfaces’ that help us to sleep well and long enough, and get ud refreshed and pain-free? Should we carry our ‘comfortable’ sleeping bags with us? What about the pillow? Should we sleep at a fixed time, or sleep when we get sleep? Does a siesta after lunch for a while – say 15-20 minutes – help? Is it OK sleeping in reclining or sitting positions? Does it matter – what we do till we sleep, what we do immediately after we wake up, and who are we with? This may be important too. Can we exhaust ourselves joyously by the end of the day so that we get a good sound sleep? Without any sleep props.
Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. Exhaust joyously, wake up refreshed. In N? nirantarayoga for 7L.
