AP Residential Junior College, my alma mater, is getting ready for its Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

Modi’s visit to the US. Modi went to the US via France and returned home. He got a firm handshake, warm hug. He was referred to as a ‘great friend’. Trump moved the chair so that the PM can get up. They wanted to expand bilateral cooperation in key sectors. Trump offered: Oil and gas; fighter jets. Praised Modi’s leadership. Set a bilateral trade target of USD 500B. MAGA, MIGA together could be MEGA. Trump would extradite 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused, to face justice.

We were listening and remembering everything. And the same was transmitted, disseminated orally. Sruthis – vedas, for example. Maybe Jesus just told and some people remembered. It may be true with the Quran. The Prophet might have communicated God’s words orally and someone else might have written up. Then came the writing, books – physical books. Stories, songs, novels, compilations, fiction, non-fiction, reports, text books and so on. Pictures got added up. Videos supplemented. Then, came the e-versions. For all that physical could be electronic. Storage space saved. Flash drives, kindle books. Each one of us can have a very big library with us personally with electronic storage space now. Gifting is easier, cheaper, more accessible, and less burdensome. We still remain hybrid – some we want physically.

Interesting. 87% of India does not leave their birth district, in their lifetime. Notwithstanding the heavy people’s movements, traffic, packed buses, trains, vehicles and so on. We were told, we learn when we see the world. Are these 87% lost on the learning benchmarks? Given growing electronic opportunities, can all of them feel, visualize, and experience the world, in its vastness, in its tininess, its nuances, its intricacies, intimate details, and possibilities? As soon as possible, may be by the time they end schooling. Can they read the best 100 books and get access to the best 10,000 books? Can we have forums, platforms interacting, conversing, unlearning, and learning with changing times authentically?

Whose responsibility is to help others? Do the ‘weak’ take responsibility and seek help or is it otherwise? The strong, powerful, and knowledgeable should take responsibility to help, inform, and support. It is their responsibility, even if it is not said so.

A study of ICRISAT, IFPRI, and CESS says protein deficiency is not always because of non-availability and affordability. It is also because of not knowing that we need this much protein; and our traditional and cultural practices are not in tune to consume more protein.

Can we appreciate that we need to earn respect? Can we work, earn and get what we want rightfully? Can we be strong, resilient mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically? Yet being sensitive, sensible, reasonable, and value-centric. No compromise on dignity. Can you see through the truth, fake, deep fake, lies, subtle lies, statistics, and tailored-customized research findings? Can we move with trust, faith and nudge our ways?  Can we learn emerging KSTs, managing, leading, logic, soft skills, life skills, and metaskills on our own? Can we nurture relationships, even if they are few? Integrity, come what may. Can we take charge of our lives? Can we make this choice, to be free?

Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. Knowing where we are going. In N? Antahkaranayoga for 7L.
