Livelihoods Update: 14 May 2025

Thousands of tenant farmers in Telangana don’t receive the benefits of Government schemes, and are unpaid, due to procedural issues, and complicated rules and land ownership issues.

 

80% of Indian rivers are at risk due to antibiotic pollution, and the concentration is high enough to create ecological and public health issues: Study.

 

94% of Bihari rural households have tap water connections. 93.8% receive at least 70 litres per capita per day, meeting the national standards for drinking water supply: Study.

 

Mizoram rural development & administration department, signed a MOU with the Bharat rural livelihoods foundation, for 3 years, to support poor families in Mizoram’s rural areas.

 

Skill training centres will be set up in every district of Telangana, to make Telangana a Centre of Excellence in Skill Development: Telangana Industries Minister.
