Why do we keep reading and writing? If we do not remember details, every detail; if we forget most of it. It refreshes our minds; renews our spirit; oxygenates our ideas; transforms us from inside out.

Who takes a fresher? Who joins a start-up? Why should a large organization give a job to a fresher, more than the internship? Fellowship?

Barack Obama: 80% of the world’s problems involved old people, usually men, afraid of death, and insignificance, hanging on, etching their names. They do not get out of the way. They assume that they are there for life. They build pyramids and put their names on everything. They get very anxious. They do not realize that they are not there to prop up their own sense of self-importance, power et al. Is Obama right? Are we becoming them? Can we care and prevent this from happening to us?

Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) reveals: 7/9 critical Earth system (planetary) boundaries have now been breached – Climate Change, Biosphere Integrity, Land System Change, Freshwater Use, Biogeochemical Flows, Novel Entities, and Ocean Acidification (new). They are inter-dependent. The poor carry the heaviest burdens. Crises are moving faster. Solutions with single indicators do not work. We need a portfolio to remedy this. We need to prevent it too. We need the logic of change, systems change. Leadership that takes charge of the movement for this change logic.

Does a movement, a global movement, need policy? If policy is not there, does the movement go slow? A bad policy may come in the way. When consumers want, when producers want, don’t the support intermediaries come around? Is there anything in the current policy of state and central governments that comes in the way of global movement? Some resources, budgets. A small amount of money, a mere 0.1-0.2% of the budget. Letting the funds mobilize flowing down to the movement workers. Letting producers, their organizations, their support organizations going forward. Not coming in their way. Lending an inspiring, encouraging word, as often as possible, at various levels. Encouraging the value-addition in the villages without discrimination to the movement. As it is, the needed unit cost is much smaller vis-à-vis others. The unit numbers are many. It can encourage an increase in the number of enterprises, entrepreneurs at the village level, and manifold.

The majority of the production, increased variety, is for us. Already traceable physically. Could be made digitally traceable soon. Plus trust, faith in their neighbours based on physical evidence. Local availability, access goes up. Food, nutrition, health. Across seasons, 365 days. Resilience goes up. Security is not threatened. We need models, campaigns, consistent field schools going on. Without baseless negative talk, campaigns. Indian media, press, cinema, and literature incorporating discussions, nuances, day-in day-out. If it works, governments may start withdrawing all negative subsidies that come in the way of the movement. Governments may genuinely offer choices for the producers to make the choice. Governments may invest in research in the movement, to generate and disseminate the same. They may invest in education of the same in schools, colleges, PG institutes, Universities. In education pedagogy – to be participatory, field-centric, skill-tool-practice-centric.

Can we invest in Natural farming, food, living – practice? In courses, champions, mentors, extensionists, volunteers everywhere. For N-way of life, day-to-day.

Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. In cutting-across portfolio solutions. In N? samagrayoga for 7L.
