Its six principal organizations: the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the International Court of Justice, the Secretariat, and the Trusteeship Council. The Trusteeship Council suspended its operations on 1 November 1994 upon the independence of Palau. The Hague, Geneva, Vienna, and Nairobi also have headquarters for some of the UN agencies. The six official languages of the UN are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. The secretary-general of the UN acts as the spokesperson and leader of the UN.
