24% of India’s household tap water samples failed microbiological standards. 73% of households drink this water, without further treatment, leaving them vulnerable to waterborne infections: Study.

 

In 2023, 32,503 people committed suicide due to illness in India. Prolonged illness accounted for 49% of the cases, followed by mental health (43%): Study.

 

India is likely to face an unusually hot March, which could threaten key rabi crops. Wheat harvest could fall by 10-15%: Government assessment.

 

88% of India’s youth feel that the climate is changing. 57% experience ‘eco-anxiety’. 67% feel that environmental shifts are already impacting their daily life: Study.

India and Israel signed many landmark MOUs, in critical areas including Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture and CyberSecurity. This includes establishing 30 Centers of Excellence in Agriculture, and a specialized program to train 10,000 Indian professionals in advanced Cybersecurity.
