The severe cyclonic storm ‘Montha’ damaged 43,000 hectares of crops, affecting 83,000 farmers, and damaged the power sector to the tune of Rs. 2,200 crore.

 

The Central Government raised the subsidy for phosphate to Rs 47.96 per kg from Rs 43.60 per kg, while sulphur subsidy has risen to Rs 2.87 per kg from Rs 1.77 per kg.
