Flight Duty Time Limitations, FDTL. To prevent fatigue and ensure safety. FDTL rules define how many hours a pilot or flight attendant can work in a day, week, and year to avoid overwork. The Government of India pressed for these from 2024. Most airlines adjusted but Indigo could not it seems, resulting in flight cancellations on a massive scale. Indigo says they are recovering and rebooting very quickly.
Mahaparinirvana. Great nirvana after death. Ultimate liberation. 6 December is considered Mahaparinirvana day of Dr BR Ambedkar, the Buddhist.Â
Corruption. Illegitimate use of public power to benefit a private interest. Petty theft, grand theft, speed money (bribes), access money (rewards, privileges extended). Bribery, extortion, embezzlement, nepotism, cronyism, kickbacks, graft, fraud, public money squandering, and manipulation. May be, because: discretionary powers; lack of transparency; low pay; inappropriate work conditions; high levels of bureaucracy; culture of impunity; conflicting incentives; and double tongue. There is no sector that is not touched by corruption. Can we help reduce corruption? Can we stand for the anti-corrupt? Will people’s agencies help in these? Can we build agency in the village, in the group, in local organizations, in the local governance, in the local market and in the government(s) at various levels?
Our fundamental yearning is for freedom from bondage. And we end up entangled from birth onward, against our yearning. We think, mistake this entanglement for life itself. We chase pleasure and flee pain; cling to gain and mourn loss. We forget the journey into death, and thereafter. Legacy, salvation, moksha/kailvalya/nirvaana. We forget our essential questions – who are we? Why are we here? What do we do? What after us? Can we ask, reflect, meditate and seek answers within us? Can we move away from binding attachments, desires, and ego? Can we be, remain humble? Can we light the spirit and longing to break free, get liberated? Can we just love, learn, lead, and live? Can we pursue to realize our highest possibilities? Can we keep doing, keep learning, keep thinking, keep reflecting, keep meditating, and keep loving? In total surrender to the universe. It is not renunciation, it is embracing wholly. We are boundless. Let no boundaries bind us. Liberation is here, in the freedom from the constructs of the mind, heart. We need to wrestle within our internal battlefields. To taste and win freedom.
The majority of us think our success is directly proportional to our intensity of engagement – putting in 12-18 hours a day. Driving all the colleagues madly. Some of us give full, total, and relentless effort. Without zero anxiety. Can we do this? Keep going, doing, and pursuing. Without seeking the fruits. In fact, that is what we can do well – giving our best. All the inputs, insights, and expertise that is needed. With high quality. Facilitating all processes that help. Communicating intensely with all indriyaas in sync. Leaving no stone unturned. Then, we just let the outputs, outcomes, and impacts happen. Let the credit go wherever it goes. Does it matter? If we are consulting, if we are a resource, this is required more. Slowing down, graduating, slowing down, helps others to own more, more quickly. Lower resistance. Smoother facilitation. Can we practice detached attachment, passionately? From day ‘0’?
Can we scale-up slowly, building on the sustainability, resilience? Horizontal spread to enter as quickly as possible; vertical deepening going hand-in-hand. Variety of models. More of us.
Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. Picking up momentum slowly. In N? gunottarasreniyoga for 7L.
