A good base foundation thinking. Now we have something to work, fine-tune and improve upon. Can we make an attempt to revisit this, in partnership with marginalized communities, groups, networks, using TRUE livelihoods lenses, and 7L approach, in the next 9 months and come up with a more nuanced, more equitable and more sustainable T-2047 framework in general and plan(s) till 2034 in particular? ICAR – The Indian Council of Agricultural Research – released the curriculum for BSc Natural Farming, and is asking its affiliate agricultural universities and institutes to introduce a graduation and post graduate educational programme in natural farming. We understand NF as 365-day-green cover, multi-layered multiple crops with trees, animals incorporated, without using any synthetic chemicals. Can there be a variant where the NF Practitioners continue to practice and improve their NF Field, do NF research, train local farmers to transit into NF, make the village climate resilient, and get this degree? NF Practitioner – can she be a full active participant in the entire NF Food System – producer, consumer, processor, storer, aggregator, entrepreneur, and value-adder? Can she make farming income every month during the course, and can this amount gradually go up semester by semester to more than Rs.25,000 a month, or more? Can we also have a post-graduation for Advanced NF Practitioner? Can these be taken up by the existing Farm Universities, across all their colleges? In parallel with existing BSc agri et al. Do they open NF Colleges, Schools separately? Can we also visualize specialized NF Universities, going forward?
