Only 6% of Indian farmers benefit from MSP, and 90% of procurement happens in only 3 states: Study.

 

The Central Government has relaxed wheat procurement norms by 10% for shriveled grains and a 6% limit for luster-lost grains, to support the farmers hit by unseasonal rains: Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi.

 

32% of the Sewage Treatment plants in Uttarakhand, discharge untreated waste into the Ganga, thus failing to meet the environmental standards, despite Rs. 1,000 crore of expenditure: CAG Report.
