Coexistential peace 120626

Southwest monsoon entered on 4 June and continues its seasonal journey across the country – more in the east, slow in the west.

Child labour. Work that deprives children of their childhood, potential, and dignity. May include mentally, physically, socially, or morally harmful activities. May prevent going to school. Some 150 million children in child labour. Can this be reduced to a near zero in the next two decades?

Blood Donation. Voluntary. Mostly one unit at a time, some 350-500 ml. Taken from vein. Blood Donor day is on the birthday of Karl Landsteiner, discoverer of ABO blood group system. Blood can be donated safely in 3-4 months once. Platelets can be donated every 7-15 days. Plasma can be donated every month. Can the fit adults donate blood at least once or twice a year?

All 28 Chief Ministers attend NITI Aayog meeting.

For redrawing the size and number of constituencies, Economic Advisory Council study recommends splitting large constituencies based on a ‘targeted criterion, not a uniform one’. Leave 373 constituencies untouched; split 59 into 2 each; split 111 into 3 each. Almost all states would have increases in seats. Other recommendations include: women-only polling booths; extended polling hours to the evening; transport assistance to the polling stations; voter-roll-update drives; fresh booth-rationalisation; 2027 Census tabulations on time; gender-disaggregated electoral statistics at both the constituency and polling-booth levels. These recommendations can be further revised after 2027 census data.

World Inequality Report 2026, WIR 2026. Global wealthiest 10% of individuals account for 77% of global emissions associated with private capital ownership; the wealthiest 1% alone account for 41% of private capital ownership emissions, almost double the amount of the entire bottom 90% combined; Those who emit the least are also those most exposed to climate shocks. Women earn only 32% of what men earn per working hour, accounting for both paid and unpaid activities, compared to 61% when not accounting for unpaid domestic labour. 1% of global GDP (approximately three times as much as development aid) flows from poorer to richer nations through net foreign income transfers; unprecedented urban-semi-urban-rural divide. Inequality remains extreme and persistent, across multiple dimensions that intersect and reinforce one another.

The top 10% of the global population’s income-earners earn more than the remaining 90%, while the poorest half of the global population captures less than 10% of the total global income. The top 10% own three-quarters of global wealth, while the bottom half holds only 2%. The wealthiest 0.001% alone, fewer than 60,000 multi-millionaires, control today three times more wealth than half of humanity combined. This concentration is accelerating rapidly. Inequality is increasing across the regions, within the regions, within the countries, and within the sub-geographies, communities.

This inequality can be reduced. WIR 2026 calls for progressive taxation and redistribution; investment in human capabilities including education, health; climate accountability tied to private capital ownership; inclusive political institutions. Can we make these choices?

Can we build N movement, global movement at local levels? Can teachers, students join in the movements of Natural living? Farm and related universities, colleges; all universities, institutes, colleges, schools. To cope with El Nino now, and various crises being faced. Certificates of orientation to all ‘practitioners’, willing individuals. Adopting, coopting villages. Lectures in various courses. Basic education/schooling, STEM or otherwise, livelihoods, management, leadership courses.

Can we intensify and scale pelletized pre-monsoon dry sowing, rabi dry sowing, to cope with El Nino? Can we go towards 365 days of green cover with diverse crops on all farm lands? Can we pursue models – 365DGC multi-layered multiple crops – A Grade, ATM, Drought Proofing, Half-moon et al? Can we discourage fallowing? Can we campaign? Intensely, daily/weekly. Messages, contacts, rallies, home visits, and farm visits. YouTubes, Local TV networks. Demonstrated physical models. Can the RSKs, RSK assistants come on board? Can we inspire them to join this effort?

Our consciousness has four ways of working – awareness (vijnaana), recognition/perception (samjna), sensation (Vedana), mental formations/ impressions/reaction-response (samskaara), resulting in raaga-dwesha – attachment-aversion; told differently – mind, intellect, memory, and ego. These work through receiving stimuli via sense faculties – eyes, nose, ears, tongue, skin, and mind. Seeing, smelling, hearing, tasting, touching, and thinking. Can we practice and observe sensations as witness, with neutrality, equanimity. And not reacting immediately? Can we slowly dissolve accumulated mental impressions? May all ‘life’ be happy, blessed! Can we contribute to this, and do something towards this? Across the community, across the locale, across the geography, and across the world. Can we be at peace, nourished, with high energy, intelligence, and without animosity, misunderstanding?

Once the eyes start to become dry, we blink. If dryness continues, we will be blinking all the time. Our vision will be disturbed. So, for the eyes not to dry too soon, the glands produce a protein. When we blink, a layer is formed. This is a very small and a minute. We are not aware of it. The body knows. This is biology, nature at work. Can we appreciate the nature at work, in various ways, hues, and nuances? Can we have peace in heavens, sky, space, earth, waters, plants, trees, forests, all life, cosmic forces, and universe(s)? Only peace everywhere, every time. And in us. In physical, spiritual, cosmic realms.

Can we help in improved health, peace of the soils, people – producers, prosumers, consumers, and value-adders? Can we help in reducing poverty, vulnerability, marginalization, and inequality?

Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. Equity, peace. In N? Samaanatasaanthiyoga for 7L.
