Centre to launch month-long Clean India Drive from 1st to 31st October. They will collect 75 lakh tonnes of waste, especially plastic, and process it in a ‘Waste to Wealth’ model.

On the one year anniversary of the passage of the three farm laws, farmer organisations called for a Bharat bandh today from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Road Transport and Highways Ministry to launch the “State Support Programme for Strengthening Road Safety”. It aims to ensure completion of vision of “Zero Road Fatalities on Indian roads”. It will cost Rs. 7270 crore. The programme will run for 6 years, in 14 States that have 85% of road deaths in India.

PM Modi launched “Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission” at 11 AM via video conferencing. Its key component is the provision of Health IDs for each citizen that has their own health account and personal health records. It can be accessed with an app, to make it easier for doctors & healthcare providers to access critical information.

Haryana (78.97%) has the highest women unemployment rate in the country followed by Jammu and Kashmir (72.60%) and Rajasthan (65.31%). The national average of women unemployment stood at 14.28%: CMIE report.
