Niti Aayog released India’s State Energy and Climate Index (SECI) for the first time. It shows the performance of all the states in energy efficiency and climate resilience. Gujarat came first among larger states while Goa topped among small states.

Centre informs Telangana that it cannot buy extra parboiled rice, as there is enough stock and little PDS demand.

Karnataka CM announces the addition of children of weavers and fishermen to ‘Raitha Vidya Nidhi’ scheme for this year. Under it, scholarships between Rs. 2000 – Rs. 11000 to children of beneficiaries.

As per a survey by 1Bridge, the usage of unified payments interface (UPI) is a major 3 to 7% in rural India even as much so over 5 billion transactions for the first time in India. It revealed that around 40% of rural respondents stated that they were unaware of UPI and digital payments and also expressed fear about losing money by making such payments.
