India falls by 4 spots to 111th rank, due to childhood wasting rate of 18.7%, 35% of children being stunted, 16.6% of population being undernourished and 50% of women and adolescents being anaemic: Global Hunger Index.

 

SIDBI, the apex financial institution for promoting MSMEs, has entered into a collaboration with the Indian Post Payments Bank (IPPB), to facilitate informal rural micro enterprises to get connected with the formal financial sector.

 

The National Skill Development Corporation has partnered with Coca-Cola India to up skill retailers in the states of Odisha and Uttar Pradesh.

 

The quality of employment for women has fallen, since women’s share in regular wage work in India has fallen to 15.9% in 2022-23 from 21.9% in 2018-19, and self employment has increased from 53.4% to 65.3%: Periodic Labour Force Survey.

 

NSRCEL & Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society has launched the ‘Swavalambane’ programme to boost business revenue of women entrepreneurs by 15%.
