Cancer. A group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts. Malignant. Signs and symptoms include: lumps, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, change in bowel movements. These are not benign. Benign tumours may not spread.  100+ types of cancers afflict human beings. Largely caused by: tobacco use (25%); obesity, inactivity, alcohol et al (30%); environmental factors, viruses et al (20%). Variety of other causes (25%). It is not yet established that psychological stress leads to cancer. Mutational signatures from genome sequencing of tumour DNA may be based on the factirs that contributed to the cancer. 200 Million may have cancer as on date. L10 Million deaths in 2024, indicatively. Lung, prostate, breast, colorectal, stomach, cervical, lever cancers are more common. My fried Manohar succumbed to lever cancer. My mother succumbed to stomach cancer.

Cancer starts with no symptoms. Gradually signs and symptoms appear. Cancer may make the people more anxious and depressed. Suicide tendency doubles. Cancer shows local symptoms, and systemic symptoms like fatigue, muscle loss, weight loss, skin changes, shortness of breath, altered mental state, constipation, dehydration, vomiting, and seizures? Fever? Initial tumour is generally painless. Cancers, most of them, spread via blood, lymphatic system. Curable if detected early.

Mutation inactivates tumour suppressor genes. Cells proliferate. Mutation inactivates DNA repair genes. Proto-oncogenes become oncogenes. Gradually, Cancer cells grow. Malignant transformation can occur through the formation of novel oncogenes, the inappropriate over-expression of normal oncogenes, or by the under-expression or disabling of tumour suppressor genes. Typically, changes in multiple genes are required to transform a normal cell into a cancer cell. Once cancer has begun to develop, this ongoing process, termed clonal evolution, drives progression towards more invasive stages. Clonal evolution leads to intra-tumour heterogeneity (cancer cells with heterogeneous mutations) that complicates designing effective treatment strategies and requires an evolutionary approach to designing treatment. Cancer types include: Carcinoma from epithelial cells; Sarcoma from connective tissues; Lymphoma and leukaemia from hematopoietic – blood forming cells; Germ cell tumour from pluripotent cells; Blastoma from immature precursor cells or embryonic tissue.

Cancer diet recommendations for prevention include: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, fish, avoidance of meat, fats, and refined carbohydrates. Treatment options include: Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation, Hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and palliative care. Survival depends on the cancer type and stage at which it is diagnosed. Those who survive first cancer have a higher risk of getting second cancer. Of late, 20% of people are getting cancer; 10% are dying from it. Slow growing cancers are common, and may not be fatal.

If we see numbness in feet, if we experience frequent leg cramps, itchy feet, if our wounds heal slowly or not healing, if we see skin discoloration, it may be because our sugar levels are high. Be careful.

Can we avoid procrastination? In relationships, care, work, and home. Try brain-way, dopamine detox. Can we lead responsible, sensitive, and sensible life and living? Can we spread it?

Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. Pushing ourselves flowing. In N? gathikriyaayoga for 7L.
