PM Modi launched Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban 2.0 (SBM-U) and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT) today. SBM-U 2.0 aims to make all cities ‘garbage- free’. AMRUT 2.0 aims to make cities ‘water-secure’.

Agharkar Research Institute, Pune, Researchers develop a technology for direct generation of hydrogen from agricultural residue. It is 25% more efficient than conventional processes and also generates a digestate that can be used as an organic fertilizer.

Labour Minister Bhupendra Yadav launches DigiSakshi, a digital skills program to enhance employability of youth. It is going to provide skills to over 3 lakh youth in the first year. Focus to be on semi-urban jobseekers belonging to disadvantaged communities.

Centre pushes back the last date for NGOs’ FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) registration certificates to 31st December 2021; they need to get funds from foreign countries.

Out of the migrant laborers who returned to Madhya Pradesh (MP), only 10.5% got full financial help from the MP Government of Rs. 1,000 as declared, and the rest received much lesser amounts: Report.
