Amazon India is working on promoting women entrepreneurs in India as part of its Amazon Saheli programme. It will collaborate with Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), Chhattisgarh State Forest Department (CG Forest) and Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services (ARIAS).
Rural Development Ministry completed Geographical Information System (GIS) plans for 2 lakh Gram Panchayats (GPs) out of the total of 2.69 GPs. The GIS-based planning in MGNREGS is used to store and analyze assets created under the scheme geographically.
Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) approves a $150 million loan for implementing Chennai’s Sustainable Urban Services Program. The program will work on strengthening Institutions for improving water supply and sewage, health, mobility, solid waste management, etc.
Government will soon create a Committee to work on Zero Budget Farming, MSP, Crop Diversification, etc. It will submit a report to decide if MSP is feasible, effective, transparent and its issues.
