The Ant Man, Biodiversity scientist, Socio-biologist, Edward Wilson, 92, rests. Is human behaviour largely genetics-based?
2021 ends. We are pushed into 2022. A joyous exciting life ahead for all of us.
Let us take some little risk and shed the old leaves, and come up with fresh new ones. Lively. Can we shed our old skin? Even if it hurts a bit? Slightly faster than the falling off of the old skin cells? Can we drop some old ways of behaving? Can we silence some old ways of doing, articulating, looking at things, looking at life, lives, living, livelihoods, leading, learning, loving, thinking? Can we sharpen our teeth, nails and tone up our wings and muscles? Can we absorb everything, not judging, not categorizing and labelling anyone? Can we flow in the fresh new exciting wonderful amazing flow? It can be amrita flow. Can we inspire more into this flow? Can we interact, converse, learn and practice in flowing together?
Can we sync with nature? Can we ask more of us to join this flow? Let us start a swaadhyay abhiyaan. Let us start a sapta sutra abhiyaan. Sensitize, educate, enable, empower, to be in sync. Supplement, complement.
Let us walk. Let us complete our intense visits and fight. Let us listen, read, argue, write, note, articulate. Let us work with new tools, new ways. Let us appreciate ‘life’. Inclusion, equity, participation, ownership, trusteeship, communitization. Let us understand the vulnerabilities we go through. Let us understand the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people, lives, areas. Let us appreciate that marginalized have three ways of acquiring escape velocity from the marginalization through education, enterprise, collective action, spiritual pursuit. Let us revisit-reframe livelihoods, leadership, collective and entrepreneurial (krishi) frameworks for them, with nature-centricity intact. With a clear unequivocal tilt towards the marginalized. With a sense of urgency. Quick saturation, universalization focus for Local, National, Global Movement(s). For scaling deep, up, out, with the agency of women and marginalized groups, communities, areas. Let us initiate ways to temper changes in the systems towards the systems of tomorrow. Women in-charge. Farmer-consumer hand-in-hand. Peer practitioner resource persons. Digital platforms with a human touch. Local value-chains. Nature-centre living, leading, learning. Commons and Creative Commons. Universal education and health access. Rights and entitlements for the right to life, living, livelihood. Food-Nutrition-Health Security. Socially responsible individuals, groups, organizations and state/governments. Payback. Volunteer force.
Let us practice such development. Wellbeing. Yogakshemam. Let us have more of us into this development practice. To practice, learn, evolve, practice long time. To offer levers of change, change in systems, sustained change.
Let us learn the ways of learning – visual/spatial (watching, observing – live exposure, pictures, videos, graphics, imageries, colours help); verbal/linguistic (reading, writing, listening, speaking, text messages); logical/mathematical (numbers, classification, reasoning, patterns, relationships, grouping); auditory/musical (sound, music, rhythm, songs, jingles help); interpersonal/social (relating to people, groups, emotions, gestures, expressions, role plays); intrapersonal/solitary (on their own, creativity, enterprises); kinesthetic/physical (doing, hands-on, activity, worksheets, games); and naturalistic (in the nature). Practice and mentor ourselves to practice these.
Development Practice is Change practice. Change is anti-status quo that comes with pangs while changing. It calls for effort, tremendous effort. A lot of motivation to be at it and later not to lapse back. Having/creating discomfort in the present or being in love with possibilities is the trigger for change. This trigger happens when we go through or practice ‘silence’ including thought silence. Can we practice?
Yes, we can. If we listen within, reflect, meditate, silence ourselves. If we see possibilities, hope, faith, promise and love. If we get uncomfortable. If we get into our whats, hows, and whys of the flow of N. For 7L.
Join us in the world of initiation into yoga of flowing for useful coexistence – nadeeyoga for 7L.
