Livelihoods Update: 5 February 2022

Arunachal Pradesh Government and NABARD launch an integrated tribal development project in the state. It will directly benefit 200 tribal families by creating sustainable and participatory livelihood programs.

Himachal Pradesh government increases financial grants to Scheduled Castes (SCs) for buying various tools to Rs. 5,000 from Rs. 1,300. It also increased the grant for buying sewing machines from Rs. 1,800 to Rs. 5,000.

Centre announces Swachhata Saarthi Fellowship 2022 for valuing and empowering innovators in Waste Management. Applications for joining will be open till 4th April 2022.

Till date, Centre approved 9019 projects and sanctioned Rs. 6540 crore under Agri Infrastructure Fund.

Under Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati (BPKP), a scheme promoting natural farming, Centre has provided a total of Rs. 4980.99 lakh to 8 states and covered 4.09 ha under natural farming.
