56.1% of the rural population in UP still uses biomass, despite clean energy schemes. UP ranks 1st in India in terms of dung cake usage (9.1%), and only 44% use LPG: Study.

 

Andaman and Nicobar Islands have the lowest Total Fertility Rate in India, at 0.9 in NFHS-6, down from the 1.3 in NFHS-5. The replacement level to keep the population stable is 2.1.
