Ocean. Oceans, seas, gulfs, and bays. 70.8% of Earth. The Ocean – Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Antarctic, and Arctic. With 97% of Earth’s water. Ocean water contains dissolved gases, including oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Oceans hold 2 million species; 250,000 documented as of now. The ocean provides ecosystem services, access to seafood and other marine resources, and a means of transport. The ocean is integral to life on Earth, forms part of the carbon cycle and water cycle, and – as a huge heat reservoir – influences climate and weather patterns. Ocean life includes animals – fish et al; plants; algae, bacteria, archaea, fungi, microorganisms and associated viruses. The world practices ‘Freedom of the seas’ – to navigate the oceans in international waters.

Can we let nature, nature’s rain engulf us? Top to toe. Limb by limb, part by part, cell by cell. Caressed, wetted hair, face, ears, eyes, nose, lips, cheeks. Dripping water. Drinking flows. Onto neck, body, hands, legs. Palms, fingers. Feet. Hand-in-hand. Foot-in-foot. Shoulder-to-shoulder. Holding on, in. Walking in the rain. Windy rain. In the wind after rain. Moving zero to 180 degrees. Both ways. In the shade, without shade. Under the sky. Clear sky, moon light, full moon light, before the rain, during the rain, after the rain. Under a roof, a tree. In, inside, besides sea, ocean, river, stream, lake. On the hill, in the hills. Silenced tongues, hearts, minds. Gushed out whispers, thoughts, emotions, words, actions. Giving to take, taking to give. In us, on us, around us. Lying-sitting. Standing. Hide and seek, taking in-out, giving in-out. Giving up, surrender. Micro-macro play, bird-worm view.

Can we remain useful, relevant to this universe? Nothing else seems to matter, in the end. Can we give what we have? Time, energy, knowledge, intelligence, skills, tools, resources, linkages. Being active, fresh, with detachment. No attachments. Being in satsang. Being in life, light, truth. Does aahaaryam matter? Does repeated ‘cleaning’ help? Do actions with no end, no plan, for the heck of it, matter? Does renouncement help? Highs and lows, and how long do these cycles go on? Can we be simple, and have equanimity, humility? Always. Does winning, losing a person, item, possession, task, target, and revenge matter? Winning: Can we just persist to be useful, relevant? Can we get over purposeless desires? Can we persist being useful, relevant without being affected unduly by emotions, intense emotions? Can we invest in knowing ourselves? Can we reflect, meditate, still the thoughts-words, observe, listen, sing, dance, walk, regulate life forces, give, practice? Be grateful for this life, this day, this minute, smile, laugh, cry? Can we be ready for Guru, wherever s/he is, in whatever form, finding us?

Can we be global, with local actions? Can we network several disparate locals into a sustaining architecture? Can we take ‘locals’ into global, can we translate global consensus into local efforts?

Yes, we can. If we coexist, flowing. Immersed, yet floating and vice-versa. In N? Yuktayoga for 7L.
