45% of Indian organisations claim AI skills shortage is their biggest limitation. 62% of India’s population is of working age, but only 2.3% of its workforce is formally trained: SHRM India Skill Intelligence Report 2026.

 

The Maharashtra Government has signed 3 MOUs with South Korean institutions to ensure skill development. These will help the State’s economy grow from 660 billion$ to 1 trillion$.

 

India’s fossil fuel subsidies now exceed its health budget. 12 of the 20 climate-health indicators are at record highs: Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change Report.

 

India’s energy demand hit an all-time record of 270.8 GW on May 21, 2026, due to extreme heat events. Renewable energy and hydro energy met 34% of the peak demand: Study.

 

India’s LPG consumption fell by 13.1% in April 2026, to 2.2 Million Tonnes, from 2.5 Million Tonnes in April 2025. This is because demand configuration has changed since the supply disruptions due to the Iran war.
